Recording of Data by Web Analysis Tool “Piwik“

Max-Planck-Innovation is constantly working on optimizing its website by means of statistics providing information about third parties’ use of the website. These statistics are generated by use of the web analysis tool “Piwik”. Piwik records and analyses – in an anonymised manner - every visit of our website. For further details on which information is recorded please refer to this list.

Piwik uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files which are saved on your computer for web analysis purposes. The information generated by the cookie (including your anonymised IP address) is sent to our server for analysis purposes. We use such information for optimizing our website. Due to the fact that your IP address is immediately anonymised, it is not possible for us to identify you as a visitor of our website. The information generated by the cookie when visiting our website is not transferred to any third party.

Possibility to Object:

If you do not agree with the recording and analysis of such data by Piwik, you can object at any time with future effect. In case of an objection, a so-called “opt-out-cookie” is saved in your browser with the result that Piwik will not record any data when visiting our website. ATTENTION: Your browser must accept cookies – otherwise the “opt-out-cookie” cannot be installed. If you delete the cookies saved on your computer between two visits of our website, you have to object to the use of Piwik again.
